Q: What is the aim of Intilaaqah?
A) The aim of Intilaaqah is to stimulate and encourage Libyan youths to consider the option of starting a business as a viable career choice, and to provide assistance to those who wish to take that option.

Q: Who pays for the training?
A) The training is free and is sponsored by Shell Exploration and Production Libya GmbH.

Q: What kind of training is Intilaaqah involved in?
A) Intilaaqah helps candidates brainstorm through ideas and the different options that make a business idea viable. Once an idea is established candidates will be introduced to the skill set required to manage a business. Finance, marketing, conducting market research, and business planning are the topics that will be covered.

Q: What assistance can Intilaaqah provide after the training?
A) Counseling support and advice will be provided by Intilaaqah staff and other partners within the Intilaaqah network. This support will be made available before, during, and after start-up.

Q: What knowledge does the trainee gain after the completion of the training?
A) The trainee will know how to prepare a business plan and the administrative, financial and legal aspects of how to set-up and run a business.

Q: Could I use my experience and skills to be self-employed?
A) Yes, you can.

Q: Does Intilaaqah provide me with funding to start my business?
A) No, Intilaaqah is not a funding institution. It is a skill development programme, but it will help trainees prepare a business plan that could help in obtaining funding.

Q: What are the funding sources available?
A) Currently funding will be established and financed through contributions from the Secretariat of the General People's Committee for Manpower, Training and Employment, and The Development Bank and referred to as the Facility Fund. The "Facility Fund" will advance loans to the candidates with good business plans.
